Experiences exchange with the aerodynamic team of the Microgravity University Institute “Ignacio Da Riva”

The Microgravity University Institute “Ignacio Da Riva” of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (IDR/UPM) is a center oriented towards investigation activities, development and training in the areas of aerospace science and technology. Inside their facilities there are various wind tunnels of different sizes and types which are used for aerodynamic tests. Firstly, KeelWit’s staff visited the IDR to admire the high degree of finish of their handcrafted wind tunnels for scientific use, as well as their level of sensorization. Later, IDR staff came to Madrid Fly to admire the capabilities and finish achieved by KeelWit Technology in their vertical wind tunnels for Indoor Skydiving, oriented to leisure and sport for public...

KeelWit interviewed in Telemadrid TV station and Motor 16 weekly magazine

Telemadrid TV station broadcasted from Madrid Fly’s facilities an interview showing KeelWit’s laboratory for aerodynamic testing, where its engineers test the new concepts and features to be installed in the next generations of Vertical Wind Tunnels they are designing.                      In the TV journal Telenoticias that was emitted later that same day they also displayed a great interest in one of KeelWit’s IP protected designs: a standard trash trolley conversion allowing it to be electrically self-propelled, helping trash collectors do their job in an easy and effortless way when faced to ramps and transporting heavy loads. Motor 16 car magazine chose to talk about how both founders chose to quit their rich automotive career to build an engineering company where they have introduced many of the lessons learnt in those years, especially from Isaac’s experience in Formula 1....

Isaac Prada & José María Cancer interviewed in “Foro de los RRHH” program from Capital Radio

Foro de los RRHH, conducted by Fran García Cabello, is a weekly radio program broadcasted by Capital Radio, devoted to presenting the latest trends in Human Resources Management. Isaac and José María explained how KeelWit uses the flying chamber of Madrid Fly, the Indoor Skydiving Tunnel they have designed and built, to perform Team Building exercises for companies. These are part of the training program called “Formula One Managers”, where they explain several techniques used by F1 team managers to manage their budget and personnel that can be easily adopted by any type and size of company. Team Building sessions held inside the flying chamber with wind blowing at a 120 km/h speed are a perfect tool to train and improve integration, coordination and trust among team members, as a symbol of a changing, hostile and unpredictable market environment. Companies and associations like Banco Santander, SIE or the YPO/WPO have already gone through this program. Iberdola, ASTI and Global Switch have already booked their dates in...

KeelWit organizes January’s monthly meeting of Observatorio de la Industria 4.0

The Observatorio de la Industria 4.0 is a Think-Tank integrated by professionals from different relevant companies linked to the Industry 4.0. The aim of  this Think-Tank is to build a permanent background where companies involved in this industry development can debate, be trained, display and research new trends and technologies that help factories and logistics improve their performance through automatization and sensoring. Isaac Prada briefly lectured about KeelWit’s experience in sensoring production processes and later introducing optimization algorithms to obtain relevant improvements in their performance. The meeting was held at the auditorium in Madrid Fly, where managers attending the meeting could later have a closer look at the sensoring and SCADA developed by KeelWit to control fans’ speed, air flow and air temperature in the ducts to offer fun-flyers and pro-flyers the utmost free-flying...

“Team Spirit in Formula 1” and “Managing your team under stress and in uncertain environments as Formula 1 Team principals do ”, two new trainings developed for Banco Santander and Repsol

Based on the contents of the Formula One Managers training, KeelWit has developed and taught a special course on how “Team Spirit” is developed in Formula One Teams to 34 managers of Banco Santander. The course included some exercises in the flying chamber of Madrid Fly, where team skills were tested and trained to achieve better results through planification and practice.        17 managers from REPSOL also received in the Technological Centre of the company a special training on how to manage stress and how to turn it in a positive condition for working under extraordinary pressure conditions, like Formula One teams and drivers do. The second part of this course was devoted to the quantification and limitation of uncertainty and how there are powerful tools, like clustering, to study in advance only the most relevant scenarios that can happen amidst the plethora of them that might arise.  ...
