CDTI funds KeelWit to enhance its research into aerodynamics

The Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) is a Public Corporation, belonging to the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, which promotes technological development and innovation by Spanish companies. It is the entity that channels the funding and support applications for national and international R&D&i projects by Spanish companies. The CDTI thus seeks to contribute to improving the technological level of Spanish companies by implementing the following activities: Financial and economic-technical assessment of R&D projects implemented by companies. Managing and promoting Spanish participation in international technological cooperation programs. Encouraging international business technology transfer and support services for technological innovation. Supporting the setting up and consolidating of technology companies. After a thorough analysis of KeelWit’s activities, the CDTI has funded its R&D Project called “DESIGN OF A MODULAR AND MULTIPURPOSE WIND TUNNEL WITH OPTIMIZED ENERGY CONSUMPTION FOR AERODYNAMIC STUDIES” CDTI co-funds the Project together with the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) though its 2007-2013 Operational Project....

Isaac Prada y Nogueira in the “Iniciativa Volvo” Awards

Volvo Cars created the Iniciativa Volvo, an innovative educational contest seeking to enhance CREATIVITY, INNOVATION, TALENT, TEAM WORK AND PROBLEM SOLVING. The Project is based in using Technology as a tool to improve road safety. Iniciativa Volvo’s target are children between 11 and 12 years of age. 2013 was the first edition of the Project, which took place in Madrid, with 16 schools and over 2,500 students involved. At the Awards Ceremony, Isaac Prada gave a speech on how innovation and “thinking out of the box” were basic requirements for facing new challenges in engineering and have been crucial in some of the most relevant advances in road safety. Awards were presented by the executives of Volvo Cars Spain, such as Mr. Germán López Madrid (President), Mr. José María Galofré (CEO) and Mr. Javier Lirón (Competence Development Manager), as well as by Isaac Prada, a Partner of KeelWit Technology. Isaac Prada, takes part in the round table on innovation during demo day at Start Comillas

START, the Comillas University Entrepreneurs Association, was created in 2011 with one main target: to enhance entrepreneurship spirit amongst university students and teachers. In order to do so, in 2012-2013 it held a number of sessions and initiatives aimed at boosting student interest in entrepreneurship, building a network of different profiles capable of complementing each other when facing this challenge. The START Comillas goal is to become a reference for all similar associations of university students. One of the relevant events of the year was the “Demo Day”, when several activities were held. The agenda included a round table on “Innovation Opportunities in Industry and Energy Sectors”. Isaac Prada took part, together with Manuel Martínez Alonso (Open Innovation Manager at Ferrovial), Agustín Delgado (Innovation Director at Iberdrola), Javier Rodríguez (Accenture Partner) and Efraim Centeno (IIT Manager). Isaac described how energy efficiency and energy harvesting are two fields with a vast potential of innovation opportunities. CDTI supports Keelwit Technology through special funding for one of its R&D projects

The Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) supports KeelWit Technology through special funding of its R&D Project “Design and development of a Modular Wind Tunnel with minimum energy consumption and enhanced polyvalence for aerodynamic studies” CDTI is a Public Business Entity, answering to the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, which fosters the technological development and innovation of Spanish companies. It is the entity that channels the funding and support applications for national and international R&D&i projects of Spanish companies. KeelWit speaker in a roundtable about internacionalization for start-ups

Madri+d Network is an institution that clusters public & private institutions,entrepreneurs and companies within Madrid region. One of its branches,  Fundación madri+d , is focused in enhancing R&D in Madrid region, and it invited KeelWit Technology to become a speaker in the roundtable set up to discuss on “Different strategies for start-up’s internacionalization”. The session was held in the Círculo de Bellas Artes, a major multidisciplinary centre with one of the most active cultural programmes in Madrid. The two other speakers, 24 Symbols and Pharmactive Biotech Products, explained their use of Internet as a tool for offering their products abroad. KeelWit Technology explained how, although having Spanish clients, its projects have always been on international projects (thermal solar plant in the USA), or aimed at products that either are international due to their characteristics (robots for windmill blade cleaning, sport equipment recycling techniques or CHP generation plants) or have broader markets abroad (electric bicycles or electric tricycles for Last Mile Delivery).
