KeelWit presented to IFDesign contest its revolutionary bicycle frame Tagliata, built through robot-welding of laser-cut flat aluminum sheets.

Tagliata comes from the Italian expression “tagliata su misura” (tailor made), as this manufacturing process allows easy individualization of each bicycle modifying size and final look with only software changes in cutting and welding robots.

The resulting frame allows hiding the batteries of the electric bike inside of it and the bespoke final look of the bicycle through multiple combinations of materials (carbon fiber, aluminum, plastic, wood) for its side covers, which give the final touch to this innovative bike.

Tagliata’s design uniqueness and extreme versatility made jury members place a special attention on this prototype and applaud its novelty.
