President of the Regional Government in Madrid awards KeelWit as “Best Entrepreneurs 2016”

Mrs. Cristina Cifuentes, president of the regional government of Madrid has granted Isaac Prada and José María Cancer their award as “Best Entrepreneurs 2016” among over 140 other Spanish SMEs. This renowned prize is organized by the daily financial journal Expansión and IFEMA. After receiving the prize, José María delivered a brief speech thanking the jury for selecting KeelWit and explaining the real difficulties faced to be able to build from scratch a leading engineering company in several fields as CFD analyses and heat exchange projects. KeelWit’s partners awarded “Entrepreneurs of the year” by Expansión, leading financial journal in Spain

KeelWit Technology has been awarded with this important prize within the “SME 2017” awards that the financial journal gives every year together with IFEMA (Madrid’s Convention Center). The jury has praised the choice taken by its partners to abandon their successful professional careers in order to build an engineering company devoted to the development of hi-tech projects using Spanish technology. Having opened its activities to the development of complex Computational Fluid Dynamics’ projects, to the development of electric vehicles and to the design, engineering and construction of Indoor Skydiving Windtunnels, KeelWit has become a relevant actor in all these fields in only a few years. JM Cancer presents the “Best engineering project focused on social development” award

José María Cancer, being the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of  Fundación de Ingenieros del ICAI, introduced Inés Valero Solesio and the reasons to be awarded with the prize for the “Best engineering project focused on social development” within the event of the “Best engineering projects” among the recently graduate engineers of ICAI. The project awarded sized and engineered a water treatment plant through a robust solution with optimized maintenance procedures and operated through solar pannels. It is going to be installed in a recently opened school in Nikki, Benin, where 900 pupils will get a proper education thanks to the water and energy supply obtained through this project. Fundación de Ingenieros del ICAI is focused in granting a better access to energy  and water supply as well as technology infrastructures needed for TIC deployment in poor areas. José María Cancer presents the prize of “best end of studies project of engineering devoted to social development“

José María Cancer, in his role of Secretary of the Board of the Fundación de Ingenieros de ICAI para el Desarrollo, presented the prize category of “Best Engineering Project devoted to Social Development”, among the final thesis developed by ICAI engineering school’s last year pupils of the 2013-2014 academic year. This NGO has been working since 2007 in the application of engineering skills on projects focused in improving life conditions of the most disadvantaged sections of society both in the Third World countries and in Spain. This organization among other activities has been providing projects during several years to last year students of this leading engineering school. All of them are focused in the application of engineering knowledge and skills into the improvement of living conditions of disadvantaged populations. Its work is developed through cooperation with other NGOs like ONGAWA, Fundación ACCIONA Microenergía and Fundación Energía sin Fronteras, as well as the Cátedra BP de Energía y Sostenibilidad. This year’s prize has been awarded to the project titled “Monitoring system for the operation of household PV systems” developed by David Chanquet, acting as joint thesis directors Julio Eisman (Fundación Acciona Microenergía’s Director) and Fernando de Cuadra (ICAI’s professor). This Project has been selected for its usefulness, managing the solar panels installed within the “Luz en Casa” program, in Cajamarca (Peru), that are allowing 3900 families to have power in their households.
