Isaac Prada y Nogueira in the “Iniciativa Volvo” Awards

Volvo Cars created the Iniciativa Volvo, an innovative educational contest seeking to enhance CREATIVITY, INNOVATION, TALENT, TEAM WORK AND PROBLEM SOLVING. The Project is based in using Technology as a tool to improve road safety. Iniciativa Volvo’s target are children between 11 and 12 years of age. 2013 was the first edition of the Project, which took place in Madrid, with 16 schools and over 2,500 students involved. At the Awards Ceremony, Isaac Prada gave a speech on how innovation and “thinking out of the box” were basic requirements for facing new challenges in engineering and have been crucial in some of the most relevant advances in road safety. Awards were presented by the executives of Volvo Cars Spain, such as Mr. Germán López Madrid (President), Mr. José María Galofré (CEO) and Mr. Javier Lirón (Competence Development Manager), as well as by Isaac Prada, a Partner of KeelWit Technology. KeelWit Technology reaches the finals in cleantech open Spain 2012

KeelWit reaches the final round of the Spanish branch of this prestigious international award that tries to find and fund the most promising cleantech startups on the planet. The ten finalists will receive a mentoring session at the final in Pamplona on September 27 by a prestigious panel of judges formed by entrepreneurs, professionals from the sector and venture capital investors who will be in charge of evaluating participants’ ideas and projects. Also, all finalists can participate in the European investor Connect which will be held on October 18 and 19 2012 and attend a mentoring session from a law firm. The national winner for each country will have the opportunity of travelling to San Francisco in November and competing with the winners of all participating countries at the global final. The winner will also be able to present his or her idea at the award ceremony in front of 2,500 investors, entrepreneurs, large corporations, academics and media KeelWit shall present HYPER, a HYdro-Pneumatic Energy Recovery system, based on the KERS used in Formula 1, developed by founder of KeelWit, Isaac Prada y Nogueira. KeelWit in the finals of the first edition of the Fondo de Emprendedores Repsol’s Awards

Fundación Repsol launched in 2011 its first edition of the Fondo de Emprendedores award. This Investment Fund is the result of the aim of Repsol to enhance energy-responsible projects and to: Promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the energy efficiency industry. Help create and enhance growth of new companies devoted to this field. Promote private investment in these companies and talent retention in their teams. Bring together R&D to market demand and vice versa. Intensify public-private partnership in R&D in Spain. 409 projects worldwide have been accepted in the contest. 4 out of them belonged to KeelWit Technology: a)    CarTemp: thermal regulation of heat flow in batteries and cabin of electric vehicles b)    EnergyBox: Design of energy storage systems from different sources (thermal, electric, kinetic, pneumatic, etc.) c)    SolarTrike: Integration on an electrically assisted tricycle of solar panels for “last mille delivery” in crowded cities. d)    SmartData: Tool to measure electricity, water, gas and fuel consumption to improve energy efficiency either at machine, production line or factory levels. After 3 rounds of judge’s analysis, 3 out of 4 projects ended among the 39 projects selected. Finally SmartData project ended among the 17 projects selected for the final session. The winners shall be granted an award and an up to two year mentoring program aimed to help develop the business model. The winner´s award ceremony shall be held in the coming weeks. KeelWit Technology received the “Young Entrepreneurs of the Year 2011” Award

The prize was awarded by the Madrid Young Entrepreneurs Association   The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Madrid (AJE Madrid) celebrated its X Annual Awards Ceremony last December 15th. During the ceremony KeelWit Technology was granted the “Young Entrepreneurs of the Year 2011”award in recognition for its dedication to Research & Development in key sectors such as energy efficiency and eco-friendly mobility systems. In another warm moment of the ceremony, Mr. Antonio Garrigues Walker received a distinction for his young attitude all along his prestigious and impressive professional career and achievements. Isaac Prada y Nogueira & José María Cancer Abóitiz awarded “Startup of the Year 2011”

The I.C.A.I Engineering Association has awarded both partners and founders of KeelWit Technology with the recently created award “Startup of the Year 2011”. This prize has been created to support and to enhance the entrepreneurship spirit as a way to create companies, employment and therefore wealth in society. The event took place as part of the award ceremony for the 17th edition of the Javier Benjumea prize, which this year has been granted to Mr. Francisco Martínez Córcoles, Head of IBERDROLA’s Liberalised Business. Relevant members of Spanish business sector as well as former winners of the award, such as Ignacio Sánchez Galán, Amparo Moraleda, Fernando Conte  or Luis Alberto Petit Herrera attended the event. Before the closing of the ceremony by the Chancellor of the Pontificia Comillas University, Mr. Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros gave a speech on “Entrepreneurs, companies and creation of wealth”.
